Max Heart Rate Formula...220 Minus Your Age...So I'm 69 and My Max is Around 151 BPM...I Try Not to Exceed 145 for 30-45 Seconds and 3-4 Rounds of That Heart Rate When Doing High Intensity Interval Training on This and the Olympic Rower and Sometimes the StairMaster...Always Check With Your Doctor or Health Care Professional and Definitely Hang On to the Provided Handles or Grips! I've Been Doing This "My Way" For at LEAST 30-40 Years and Am In Superior Shape, So Please Don't Attempt This in the Manner You See Here Unless You Have My Kinda Background Team! Captain Jeff
