Cavalcadence plays Cadence 70: Accidentally attacked shopkeeper... =p (All Zones Mode: AMPLIFIED)
So as a bit of a break from 0-gold runs, I was trying some normal Cadence runs, and a few runs in... this run happened. For some reason, the game seemed to want to keep upgrading Cadence's weapon, starting with a Blood Broadsword (definitely better than a Dagger!), then a Golden Spear (probably safer than a Broadsword!), then a Golden Warhammer (almost certainly safer than a Spear!), then a Titanium Warhammer (a pretty safe weapon with 2-damage attack... yes, please!)... then finally, a Rifle (overall, the Titanium Warhammer might be a bit safer, but the Rifle has a 3-damage piercing attack that can open boxes and barrels, so...)! ^_^
Overall, the Rifle is a pretty safe weapon (even more so for Cadence than Mary!), though you do have to be careful about offscreen enemies, especially in Zone 4!
...or offscreen potential enemies. =p
So... basically, a 3-2 ghast appeared out of nowhere (like they do), but the Rifle easily dealt with it. Unfortunately, the Rifle shot also hit the offscreen Shopkeeper, so... =p
Anyway, long story short... that wasn't the last mistake I made in this run... but Cadence managed to hold things together, and ended up with a Rifle win! ^_^
