So I was doing a normal Mary run when I encountered some 1-2 Boots of Lunging! The Boots of Lunging are a pretty rare item that's sort of a combination of the Boots of Leaping and the Boots of Pain... except that you leap further and do more damage (and they don't hurt you when you put them on, and they don't give you water immunity)! ^.^
I hadn't used the Boots of Lunging much before, so I wasn't sure about the exact details of how they worked... so I figured this might be a good time to experiment with them a bit. =)
One of the things I decided to try was to see if they'd aggro the Shopkeeper. As expected, they don't. However... it turns out they can actually push the Shopkeeper(!).
In other words, the Boots of Lunging can actually get you the shop items for free! All you have to do is use the Boots to push the Shopkeeper out of the shop. ^^ Of course, depending upon where the door is (or if it's a metal door), you may have to use a bomb to clear a path to push the Shopkeeper out. Or maybe buy an item, if one of them is in the way. ^^;
But other than that... free items! =) As it turns out, this is something that some players knew about already... but since I hadn't seen anybody use this trick before (and hadn't used the Boots much myself)... I didn't know about it myself... until this run. =)

2:42 Boots of Lunging! Sure, why not? I've never really experimented with them, so now might be a good time. If nothing else, I can just use them for fast travel... or just turn them off and ignore them. ^_^
2:46 Let's see... looks like they make you jump... hmm, 4 tiles forward. And I think you can damage enemies by jumping into or over them, or something?

2:55 Hmm, doesn't look like you jump over enemies, so probably jumping into them damages them, kind of like the Boots of Pain... Also, heh, of course the lamb makes the giant leaps as well. ^^
3:02 Hmm, looks like the Spear's range can interfere with the lunge attack, just like with the Boots of Pain. =p Hmm, okay, maybe that's enough experimentation for now. Let's finish off the minotaur. ^^
