So as a change of pace from 0-gold runs, I thought I'd try some Randomizer score runs. =)
My first ever Randomizer Mary win (Mary 13) was kind of a score run... but I was definitely playing more for safety than score in the latter parts of the run. So I thought it might be fun to revisit Randomizer Mode to see if I could beat that score. I figured with a bit of luck (i.e. good enemy gold values, and no severely unfair boss battles), and a bit more focus on score, it should be possible... so I gave it a try. =)
Anyway, long story short... eventually, this run happened. ^.^
I did still put some focus on safety, of course (Mary does have to be powerful enough to keep the lamb safe against unpredictable enemy encounters!), but overall, there was definitely a stronger focus on score than in my previous win... which, combined with the specific randomization of this particular seed, ended up being enough to beat that score.
It also resulted in my first ever 20k+ score with Mary (in any mode!), which was a pleasant surprise. ^_^
