Cave Story - Part 2 - Pseudo Retro
11Cave Story is a very retro platform shooter with the feel of a JRPG. It reminds me of Wonder Boy in many ways. The platforming combined with RPG elements, such as levelling up. Although I later realised it is your weapons that level up rather than your character. It's a great deal of fun and I'll be playing it much more.
This is the "plus" version which has some graphical and audio improvements, and perhaps more. The standard version is free and can be downloaded here:
