Mechs... Giant powerful robots... but they are still machines that break, and as an unlicensed mech mechanic, you're just the person to fix them! Start with a small operation taking underground jobs until you can afford a license. Then get proper jobs from more clients. Some may just want something that works (i.e. just fix the broken stuff) while others may want you to do preventative maintenance (replace worn but not broken part with a new one). Buy machinery that will allow you to repair broken parts, make software patches, wipe out corrosion, even wash and repaint the mechs. And when the time calls for it... design and outfit your custom combat mechs... and prove to the mech corps that your success is not a fluke...
