I play through the "endgame" portion of Mech Mechanic Simulator, where you are a mechanic for giant mechs in the near future, where you have made enough money to buy and own your mechs, fix them up, and send them on missions for rewards. Is this game worth your time and money and breaths new life into the genre? Or does it just frustrates you with boring actions and repeated motions?
The answer is "it may be worth it on sale, but not at full price". The UI makes you run back and forth to do different stuff, as I point out many times in the video. The minigames are boring, and the "missions" are just more excuses to run down to the mech terminal, adjust the perks, then run back to the mission computer to send them out. Even repairs themselves are pretty boring, as you "try to spot the missing/broken part". There's almost no skill to it.
