Iron Brigade was NOT the first game to do a in-person real-time strategy / shooter hybrid (that would be Battlezone 1998) but it could be the first to do in-person tower defense where you join the action as a shooter. The story is ole-Skool sci-fi where two people went opposite ways... One invented the "mobile trench" originally as a walker for people with mobility problems. The other invented the TV (before WW1) and created alien bots that will build cable to suck up all the information possible, and no army can stand in its way, except the newly formed "mobile trench brigade"... In practice, you have a walking tank with two banks of weapons and ability to call down emplacements (towers) subject to amount of enemies you killed and reclaimed as scraps. You can choose different legs different torso, different weapons, each will give you different perks and limitations. Anyway, enough talking... let's play!
