Welcome back for today's WINDy Creative Deck Profile, this time featuring the Majespecter archetype and their brand new wave of support cards! The Majespecter theme primarily consists of WIND Spellcaster Pendulum monsters with no Pendulum Effects; however, they each share an effect that they cannot be targeted or destroyed by the opponent's card effects. On the low end, Majespecter Fox - Kyubi and the new Majespecter Porcupine - Yamaarashi share a Pendulum scale of 2, while Majespecter Raccoon - Bunbuku, Majespecter Toad - Ogama, and Majespecter Crow - Yata have the high pendulum scale of 5. Each also carries a different advantage-earning effect when summoned. You see, Crow tutors a Majespecter Spell, Fox tutors a Majespecter Trap, and Toad sets either to your field. Raccoon tutors a Majespecter monster from the deck, and Porcupine recovers a Spell from your GY, setting it to your field. As far as the S/T support goes, you have a variety of removal options at your disposal, each which carries the cost of tributing a WIND Spellcaster. In this build, I'm sticking to Majespecter Tornado, which banishes an opponent's monster, Majespecter Tempest, which negates a Special Summon or activated monster effect, and Majespecter Storm, which spins an opponent's monster back into the deck. There's also the new Majespecter Wind, a Quick-Play Spell that Special Summons a Majespecter from the hand or GY, or you may Tribute a WIND Spellcaster to Special Summon from the Deck instead!
All of these monsters and support cards are tied together, but ever since the Master Rule restricting the Pendulum Summoning of monsters from the Extra Deck, this theme has struggled to be able to mass Pendulum once you've filled the Extra. So, I'm excited to share the newest solution to that problem: Majespecter Orthrus - Nue. This LINK-2 Monster lets you add 2 Majespecter Pendulum Monsters from the Extra Deck to the hand, then you get to place 2 other Majespecters from your Deck into the Extra Deck. This lets you grab the two monsters to use as Pendulum Scales, while setting up two new Majespecters to Pendulum Summon and get their searches: Wonderful! But beyond this Link Monster, you may need to elicit the help of a few other boss monsters, and that's where the Dracoslayers start to fall into place. Whether it is Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer, Dinomight Powerload, the Dracoslayer, or Ignis Phoenix, the Dracoslayer, this archetype offers even more Level 4 Pendulum monsters that help you gain more material for the summoning of boss monsters from the Extra Deck. Majesty Pegasus is a Majespecter monster as well - they are cross-synergetic archetypes after all. This is very much showcased by the last new Majespecter card, Majespecter Draco, a Rank 4 Xyz Pendulum Monster that can detach an Xyz material if another monster is Tributed to Special Summon any Level 6 or lower WIND Spellcaster from the deck. While I had been delaying this profile while eagerly awaiting the return of Majespecter Unicorn - Kirin from the Forbidden List to summon with Draco, you have a plethora of other options to summon out and tutor even more Majespecter cards.
All in all this new wave of support does what you would expect - it enhances the innate capabilities of the Majespecter archetype, giving it additional consistency, opening plays, and even more propensity to win a grind game of resources over time. So why wait - Exceed the Pendulum by combining the Dracoslayer and Majespecter together in this brand-new hybrid strategy!
