Last year’s progress with respect to the Cloud Development Tools workgroup was an interesting one. We will explain how last year’s Cloud Dev Tools group and embedded SIG became the CDT Cloud Group, Cloud Dev Tools Group and OpenVSX group. This talk also aims to shed light on the goals of the workgroups. Where one would want to go when they wish to collaborate or even just have a question.

The talk will finish with a quick state-of-the-art on CDT Cloud. This project is an exemplar application integrating all the technology brought forth in the working group. This would be done from an Eclipse Trace Compass perspective; however, it will cover most of the use cases in CDT Cloud. We will discuss any unique selling points of the project. Finally, we will ask the important question: Will it scale? Will it scale on machines with hundreds of cores, thousands of cores, and if so (and we think the answer is yes) why?

This talk is aimed at people in embedded or HPC (High Performance Computing) space, however, the topics shown here will affect general or classic computing users soon, and as usual, all are welcome.
