The teams of EclipseSource and STMicro have done a great job accelerating Theia's start-up times. As well, the Dorsal lab at Polytechnique Montreal are improving Nodejs's instrumentation. After some instrumentation, a quick win yielded a 40-50% boost in startup speed. This talk will use Trace Compass to show where the gains were obtained, as well, it will show the systemic methodical way to increase the performance of a system as a whole.
