Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of AiRace Speed on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS developed and published by QubicGames.

With F-Zero and Star Fox on long sabbaticals, someone has to pick up the slack. QubicGames is up to the task with AiRace Speed, a downloadable 3DS game released in 2013. Mixing the speed and races of F-Zero with the on-rails flight of Star Fox, AiRace Speed is a racing game Nintendo fans should feel at home with. Players race five futuristic jets on 18 futuristic tracks...from the future. Each track harkens back to the tubes and cylinders of F-Zero GX, a dangerous mixture of insane speeds and tight corridors. Crashing adds devastating time penalties, and unfortunately, lots of shifting panels and dangerously placed columns make crashing an easy thing to do. Each level has three stars to earn, as well as online leaderboards to see how you stack up against other players. AiRace Speed is a single-player flight-based racing game.

This video review features video gameplay footage of AiRace Speed on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
