Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Metal Slug 5 for Nintendo Wii, developed by Noise Factory and published by SNK Playmore.

Metal Slug 5 is a run-and-gun action platformer in the same vein of games like Contra. It follows the cooperative forces of teams Peregrine and SPARROWS as they seek to stop the Ptolemaic army. Metal Slug's titular "slugs" play a large role in the gameplay, but for the most part, the game's focus is intense and difficult on-foot action. Numerous weapon pick-ups are available, and saved POWs can provide points and helpful items.
