Banana Prince - AKA Bananan Ouji no Daibouken - might never have made it to the States, but gamers in Japan and Europe got to experience the tale of a strange, almost Takahashi-esque kid with a hankering for bananas, chasing down the schmendricks what stole his village's big banana. And yes, that does sound a lot like Donkey Kong Country. But rather than apes fighting crocodiles, you've got a human (at least we think he's human) fighting all the vegetables and fruits that aren't bananas. Apparently bananas inspire great jealousy in all other produce.
