Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Nostalgia for Nintendo DS developed by Matrix Software and Red Entertainment and published by Ignition Entertainment.
Nostalgia brings us back to a time when all a JRPG really needed was a lineup of plucky protagonists, facing off against fell beasts, taking turns and flinging magic. And, perhaps, jumping into their airship and engaging in sky-high combat over the Alps. Nostalgia's world is a distorted version of our own, where adventure lies around every turn and London is a small village instead of a sprawling hub of the world. Ultimately, it's a classical RPG adventure with a very retro art style, rendered in 3D by the same folks at Matrix who handled some of the true classic RPGs (vis, Final Fantasies III and IV).
