Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team for Game Boy Advance developed by Chunsoft and published by Nintendo.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team is half of the total Rescue Team experience. The other half, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, was on another platform entirely, though, namely the Nintendo DS. This bridge between portable systems didn't really have much of an impact on the game itself, as the Pokémon mechanics and characters are ideal for slotting into a roguelike, top-down RPG by Chunsoft, who had a cottage industry producing games of that style for franchises from Dragon Quest to Druaga.
