Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Fortress for the Game Boy Advance developed by Pipe Dream Interactive and published by Majesco.

Fortress is a tower defense game for the Game Boy Advance, predating the modern tower defense craze by several years. Its unique gameplay combines the basics of tower defense with the falling-block puzzles of Tetris. Players must build a fortress by playing Tetris, arranging falling blocks into a solid structure. Building a solid fortress without gaps is important, as you can only place weapons on flat surfaces. The first player to destroy the other player's fortress wins. Fortress features four themed levels—prehistoric, medieval, pirates and space. One of those things is not like the other, but across them all, the same tower defense applies. Fortress is a single and multiplayer action puzzle game.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Fortress for the Game Boy Advance and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
