Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Bike Rider DX on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS developed by Lireneosoft and published by Spicysoft.

If the little guys from Excitebike drove off the track and crashed into a Super Mario Bros. game, the result might be something like Bike Rider DX. This game is a unique 2D hybrid of racer, platformer and runner. Controlling a stick figure on a tiny motorbike, players must reach the endpoint of each level while collecting three coins scattered throughout. The bike moves forward automatically, like a runner, so the player simply jumps and adjusts the speed. Bike Rider DX's gameplay is a simple concoction of classic 2D genres, and as you might expect, it also features power-ups. One gives the bike a rocket boost, for example, and another gives your bike the gift of the triple jump. Bike Rider DX is a single-player game and is available for several mobile and handheld platforms, the 3DS version benefits from the system's 3D effect.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Bike Rider DX on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
