Pac-Attack review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Pac-Attack for the SEGA Game Gear developed by Now Production and Namco and published by Namco.

In the wake of Tetris, you weren’t cool unless you were dropping blocks. Mario did it, Kirby did it—even Pac-Man did it. Pac-Attack is one of the countless falling-block puzzle games released after Tetris, and 90 percent of its gameplay is virtually identical. Players must create full lines out of falling blocks to clear those lines and earn points. The catch with Pac-Attack is that the ghosts are trying to screw things up. They’ll block your lines from being cleared, and to stop them, you only have one choice. You’ll have to eat them. Pac-Attack combines the line-clearing gameplay of Tetris with even more puzzling elements for a seriously challenging experience. It has single-player and local multiplayer on the Game Gear.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Pac-Attack for the SEGA Game Gear and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
