No matter what your Genesis seems to say, kids, spelling is important. Lightening Force: Quest For The Darkstar may seem like a cool game, but poor spelling isn’t cool. Okay, so in this case, maybe it is. This game is known as Thunder Force IV elsewhere, but for some strange reason, it was released in the States as Lightening Force. No matter, though—even with bad spelling, this might be one of the most fun and gorgeous games on the Genesis. If you’re looking for a great SHMUP, they don’t get much greater than Lightening Force: Quest For The Darkstar. This game features single-player play on the SEGA Genesus—err, Genesis.
