Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Rolo To The Rescue for the SEGA Genesis developed by Vectordean and published by Electronic Arts.

From the makers of the James Pond games, Rolo To The Rescue is a strange and deceptive platformer. Although it may look like a game for children, it's not exactly. Rolo To The Rescue is a shockingly challenging platformer that demands near-perfection from the player. There are so checkpoints, no save functionality—if you want to beat Rolo To The Rescue, you have to do it in one sitting. The game is about a young elephant who's trying to rescue his mother from the circus, and along the way, he'll also free lots of other animals from their traps. Clowns are the worst. Each level has a certain amount of animals you must save to advance, and to fully finish the game, you can't afford to leave any behind. It's cute and brutal, like a baby who listens to death metal. Rolo To The Rescue is a single-player platformer.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Rolo To The Rescue for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
