Star Ocean review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Star Ocean for Super Famicom developed by tri-Ace and published by Enix.

Let's face it. There were lots of Super Famicom RPGs we never got. This was one of those that everyone seemed to notice, though. (Probably because our introduction to Star Ocean was called "The Second Story," funny enough.) Now, you know why: tri-Ace were out to make a name for themselves, and they put everything they had (including part of Motoi Sakuraba's soul) into crafting a stellar swords-and-sorcery-and-space-travel RPG, establishing the Star Ocean trademarks like Private Actions, active combat, skill development, and item creation.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Star Ocean for Super Famicom and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
