Changes for the Aussie Garage Promo Van & Updates
40Hi Everyone, its Phil from Aussie Garage and no we have not dropped of the face of the earth, but we have had some technical issues over the last couple of weeks that we had to rectify to move forward. However, we good to go and will be back stronger than ever.
Aussie Garage has made some changes to the XC Falcon Aussie Garage Promo Van and the full video will be out shortly, but for now here the short version. We have changed the 250 Crossflow engine and Borg Warner gearbox into a 302 Cleveland Engine with a mild cam and a C4 gearbox.
We had to get a few new parts for the conversion, like a new Radiator, AU Thermo Fans, New Speedo Cable, Extractors, new Air cleaner cover and more, which we got from Superoo Falcon Spares in Armadale. Tony, Leigh and the boys are super helpful and give great advice for all projects.
At present the exhaust still need some changes by putting in a X pipe for better sound, however, we have the exhaust coming out the sides of the van with 8" wide rectangle exhaust tips. The column shift auto has been replaced with a B&M Mega Shifter on the floor because the extractors were getting in the way of the Column Auto.
Aussie Garage still has a few changes in the Aussie Garage Promo Van, such as the back of the Van, the interior needs retrimming, we have a GS Dash coming that we are getting from a friend in the West Coast Vanners Club with a GS Fuel Cap as well. Just getting funds together at present. We have a some Genuine Metal XC Falcon Side Vents and a GS Falcon Bonnet from a another friend in the West Coast Vanners club. So you can see that we getting there slowly, but its great doing these projects.
This weekend, West Coast Vanners are doing their annual Vanners for Variety Toy Run for Variety WA this Sunday the 27th of November 2022. They will be starting at Wells Park, Kwinana Beach Foreshore at 9.00am, then travelling up past Fremantle to Port Beach, then Cottesloe and then up West Coast Hwy to Hillarys Boat Harbour. From there, West Coast Vanners will head to Whiteman Park Motor Museum to present all the Toys to Variety WA for Disabled, Disadvantaged and chronically ill children throughout WA. So if you on West Coast Hwy on Sunday or want to coming to Whiteman park to check out the Vans, Utes and other classic Cars, please do and look forward to seeing you there. Come say hi as well.
Aussie Garage has some major events coming up until the end of this year and into the start of next year as well, such as the WA Van & Ute State Titles 2023, Northern Steel Bumper Car Show and much more. Plus, Aussie Garage has an awesome concept idea that we are working on with Roar Torque TV, so watch this space as its going to be one to watch.
