Chapter 3: Tarant's Home Walkthrough - Finding Teddy 110% Walkthrough

Go left 4 screens & you'll find a beetle that is stuck in some cobwebs. He is saying "HELP"; this will be useful later. Continue down 1 screen & left 2 more screens. Here there will be a fire bug (it's actually a firefly, but I want to differentiate it from the fireflies hidden throughout the game). Click on it & it will be added to your inventory. Go back to the beetle by going right 2 times & up once.
Once you're back with the beetle use the fire bug on the beetle to free him from his webby entrapment. He'll flee 1 screen to the right. Follow him. Use your Musicom to ask the beetle for "HELP" & he'll cut loose the spider in the sack.
Pick up the baby spider & go 1 screen left, 1 down, 1 left, 1 down, & right 2 more screens. You should find yourself on a screen with a big spider & 3 little ones. Give the baby spider you rescued to its mother & she'll tell you "I AM YOUR FRIEND" (note: you don't actually have to do this you just need to know that phrase. I only showed it for the sake of completion).
Throughout the various rooms you may have noticed some letters on the walls. Altogether they spell "GREAT TARANT". From the mother spider screen go left 3 screens. You'll find 6 yellow circles with letters on them. Use them to spell out "GREAT TARANT" & then pick up the claw on the left side of the screen.
Go right 1 screen, up 1, right 1, up 1, & left 1. Click on Mr. Mouche & then on the big spider up above. The spider will try to attack Mr. Mouche & will fall down the pit. Go left & up 1 screen. Use the claw on the spider web then go right 5 screens & up 1 screen. Grab the egg that's in this room & go back out. Go left 4 screens & up the big crack in the ceiling. Give the egg to the large bird & you'll get a gray key in return.
Go back down 1 screen & right 1 screen so that you can see the 4 pictures of presumably Tarant's relatives. Go up 1 screen here & then right 1 screen to find a chest. Use the key on the chest & you'll get....another key? Anyway, with the purple key in hand go left & down 1 screen, then right 4 screens. Use the purple key on the door.
Go right 1 screen & you'll find yourself face to face with Tarant. You are now going to have a bit of a conversation with him. You don't have to wait for him to finish what he is saying before you talk. I just did it so anyone watching the walkthrough can see what he says. The things you need to say to him (and in this order) are:
Hello
Happy
I am your friend
Teddy
(Sidenote: there is actually an easter egg at this part. Watch the video linked below titled "Tarant's Nyan Cat Easter Egg" if you want to see it)
Once you successfully talk to him the credits will start along with a little cutscene that shows Tarant returning the little girl to her bedroom with her Teddy along with Mr. Mouche & Mr. Cat.
Another cutscene will show the little girl when she's older going up into her attic. Click on the wardrobe & you'll be transferred back to the forest. Go left 1 screen & you'll find Tarant who tells you "WE NEED YOU AGAIN".
There are 4 fireflies in this chapter:
#1 (0:38): This firefly is found on the same screen as the trapped fire bug that burns things. There are a couple things that look like cracks at the top of passageway. The hidden firefly is found above the top crack on the right. Specifically it's found slightly to the right of this crack about halfway between the top of the screen & the top of this crack.
#2 (1:49): Go to the screen that had the trapped beetle. Go down 1 screen & right 2 screens. Behind the girl is a sort oval shape on the back wall. Click just a little above & to the right of this oval shape to find the firefly.
#3 (2:16): From the screen that had the trapped beetle go down 1 screen, left 1 screen, down 1 screen, & right 1 screen. You should now be on a screen with the letters "RANT" on the back wall. In the passageway you'll see 2 whitish vertical lines. The firefly is found just below the right vertical line.
#4 (4:42): From the screen with the trapped beetle go left 2 screens, up 1 screen, right 5 screens, & up 1 screen. You should now be in the room where the lone egg was. The last firefly of the game is found in line with the left-side green border of the room & a little down from the top of the screen.
