The backtracking in this game isn't so bad. Get a new tech, go through the previous areas with the map, look for places that you may be able to reach now, and boom. Find new stuff! Usually stuff for your town. I like that. Sometimes you get treasure too, which is almost never worth it, but it's mostly the town stuff you've been looking for.

Made some good progress today, mostly through another areas. It is a larger game than I expected, and I am truly enjoying it. Especially the enemies here in the keep which are significantly more dangerous than normal. Oh, you dodged the spider? It threw a web at you to trap you so he can get a free hit on you, maybe two if you can't shake it in time. You ducked under the archer's arrow? He aimed it slightly down to hit you.
