This abandoned mine site is in the Laguna Mountains east of San Diego. This was a shaft of some sort, and the tailings pile is rather large. It was probably somewhat deep. I also found another filled-in shaft nearby the one featured in this video. The latter half of this video includes time-lapse footage of the annular solar eclipse taken from the mine site area.
