Forming part of my submission for my final year Creative Media Project (CMP) at Sheffield Hallam University, I have re-envisioned the Chernobyl Reactor Number 4 control room with Unreal Engine 4. This environment was developed over the course of four months and features many elements from the actual location on the night of the tragic accident on the 26th of April 1986.

Reference imagery taken from the third reactor's control room was used during the construction of the environment, as the third reactor used equivalent floor-plans inside the building.

All 3D assets shown in the video are my own work, and a variety of software packages were used during the scenes development. This includes Autodesk Maya 2018, ZBrush Core, Adobe Photoshop CS6 / CC, Substance Painter 2018, Quixel Suite, Marmoset Toolbag 3, MAGIX VEGAS Pro 15 and Unreal Engine 4.

The backing music and sound effects were also composed by myself using FL Studio 12.

You can view more of my work on my website at: https://www.warrenaterz.co.uk/
(A full breakdown of the scene will be published soon.)

I hope you enjoyed the video!
