"April 17, 2003 - Publisher Bandai is known for creating some of the most off-the-wall franchises in the videogame industry. But the company may have outdone itself with Chibi Robo for GameCube. The title, which is developed by Japanese Skip (which also created the odd Giftpia for GCN), introduces players to a 10cm-tall robot complete with metal exterior and power plug. The cute little bugger can be guided around a vast house and made to carry out commands -- just so long as his power doesn't run out. So plug in and keep reading as we take you through the weird, but strangely intriguing project.

Features

* Control Chibi Robo (or small robot), a 10cm-tall worker complete with his own power plug
* Players do not manipulate Chibi Robo directly -- he follows red and green cursor points around the world
* Explore a vast house and carry out a wide array of operations Chibi Robo always obeys commands and never talks back
* Use Chibi Robo to protect the house from burglars
* Upgrade Chibi Robo with different body parts
* Collect items like memory chips and expansion batteries to increase Chibi Robo's performance and functionality
* Interact with objects and solve level puzzles
* If Chibi Robo runs out of power, the game is over

Gameplay
Travel with us to the house of a great, accomplished inventor named Professor Sendagaya who is so focused on his work that he has for a long time lived alone in a huge house. The long hours and sleepless nights have paid off, though. The inventor has just given birth to his finest creation: a machine with the full emotional capabilities of human beings. When two burglars -- Cookie and Arnie -- hear of the invention, they decide that they want to steal it and set about doing just that. However, the thieves have no idea that the inventor has also populated his house with 10-cm-tall robots called Chibi Robo, and these cute, inquisitive little guys will do their very best to keep order.
