"August 22, 2001 - The creators of Rune for the GameCube, From Software, today announced another role-playing game for the GameCube, titled Goldstar Mountain. Goldstar Mountain is said to be an action RPG with a focus on breeding and training sentient animals. It wouldn't be an action RPG with out the battles, so players can pit their trained animals against each other in Pokémon style fights.

Goldstar Mountain's world design is reportedly heavily influenced by Disneyland's various attractions. The planned release date in Japan is 2002 and US release is unknown at this point."
