Chickenauts Demo - Save Chickens From Mutant Alien Cyborg Chickens in This Action Roguelike Game
28A quick playthrough of the demo for Chickenauts where one night your chickens are abducted by aliens that park right on your lawn so you got to grab your trusty shotgun (replaced by a pistol in actual gameplay) and tell them to get off your property. Also you find chickens to use as companions to assist and get upgrades through your farm.
It's pretty short and not too difficult unless you add the run modifiers. Being able to command your companion to follow an enemy usually has them make short work of it and once you start stacking upgrades like multiple guns on your chicken enemies melt quickly. You can spend eggs for permanent upgrades but other than the max HP increase the bonuses appear to be really small (Start with 1 coin or 2% increases).
Looks alright but a little on the short side though so this might be something to check out and keep an eye on.
