Eden's Guardian - Demo Boss (No Damage) | Upcoming Metroidvania
41The demo to Eden's Guardian got an update to include a boss fight so here's the fight done without taking damage. Boulder RNG can be a bit annoying and if you move away from the boss they'll typically do their shield charge or shockwave so just staying on them as much as possible is ideal.
Your sword throw/teleport can be used whenever its shield isn't up to get back to them (and pass through the shockwaves) but you can't be slow with it. You can stun the boss by using a charged sword throw when the shield is up but they're usually quick to charge if you're out of melee range and if you are in melee range jumping over them for 2-3 swings tends to work better. Although when their shield is up you need to dash at the max height of your jump or you get bounced back. The boss does do contact damage but the hitbox seems pretty generous in how close you can get. Also, you can enter a stance to restore health on hit instead of having healing items.
