♫Chopin - Nocturne in C Sharp Minor Op. Posth.♫
Oh look, it's that famous Chopin Nocturne from that famous movie The Pianist!! :D
This Nocturne is so SO sad and emotional... And it's definitely one of my favourites (even before watching the movie!). It also means a lot to me because I almost always listen to it whenever I'm feeling down. Anyways, I've actually been wanting to record this for a long time now, and I'm glad I've finally got down to it. I was just so damn afraid of butchering this very delicate masterpiece. Plus, I wasn't sure if I could execute those scalic mountain runs at the end to a decent standard... And the ornaments aren't easy either.
I strongly recommend you listen to this with headphones. Some of the softest sounds in the piece might not be audible otherwise.
Oh, and this is actually surprisingly my very first take! How rare, haha! I decided that I should try for an even better one, so I did several more. Turns out this is still the best one... Well, I think it's decent.
Got your headphones on already? Good. Now listen with your eyes closed. :)

Fun fact: Szpilman did not actually play Chopin's Ballade No.1 for the German officer; he played this Nocturne instead.
