While YouTube and Netflix are popular apps for the Google TV, if you're a Plex-head, Kodi lover or just plain want to launch some other apps with your remote? You are probably dying to change the behavior of those two pre-made buttons on your Google TV controller.

This video will show you how to do it with the help of a paid app ($5 - sorry, not free but totally worth it) available on the device. No sideloading or hacking required! Takes less than five minutes.

It isn't 100% perfect - but once you get the hang of the sort of limitations, it works just fine.

Note: I recommend buying the app on the Google Play store on your computer or phone as it will make the process go a little faster.
