Chrono Cross (PS1, 1999) - First hours
1Set 20 years after Chrono Trigger featuring a new set of adventurers that prepare for a battle that cross both space and time. Albeit one does not need to have played the original to enjoy this there are references and pointers that only players of the first game will understand. Unlike many other JRPGs of the time, encounters in Chrono Cross are not random, as enemies are clearly visible and roaming on the map - allowing the players to decide which battles to take or avoid. Although battles are following the traditional turn-based formula, the various attacks display a chance to hit before attacking, allowing the player to choose only those that have a higher chance of success. The game features a large cast of playable characters, beautiful soundtrack and pre-rendered backgrounds.
