Here is a solo marimba improvisation of the first half of Yasunori Mitsuda's iconic composition "To Far Away Times" from Chrono Trigger!

The soundtrack to Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite video game soundtracks of all time, but I feel in love with this piece through Jillian Aversa and Reuben Kee's beautiful arrangement of it on OverClocked Remix many years ago. I can't help but be influenced by their highly expressive interpretation of the work whenever I play it! This past Thursday (November 21st) was actually Mitsuda's birthday, so I played a lot of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross that day. Happy birthday Yasunori Mitsuda, and thank you for all the great music!
