Chrono Trigger Walkthrough - Part 4
I think that this compromise in quality should satisfy everyone so I can finally get that topic out of the way. We leave the castle and make our way back through the Guardia Forest to revisit the Cathedral. Here, we find a hairpin of sorts and then the nuns drop their disguise and attack us in a mini-boss fight. The fight takes a bit long because they don't take much damage at all but they don't dish out anything alarming either. After their defeat, a frog knight helps us and decides to join us to save the queen. We move through a hidden door into what seems to be a hideout of the monsters. Apparently, they eat humans and disguise themselves so they don't raise any suspect. Around these parts, we find... the queen? Well, nope, it's just a monster in disguise so the search goes on. (Excuse that small period of time towards the end where I was doing nothing, I was distracted).
Note: In this video, we learn our first Dual Tech. Basically, a Dual Tech means that two characters combine their techniques to launch an even stronger attack. Both characters need to have a full action gauge to make such a technique possible. In this case, the fire damage of Lucca's Fire Toss is combined with Crono's area damage to form an area attack that deals fire damage. Believe me, not every Dual Tech will be as simple as this example. Later in the game, there will even be Triple Techs which combine the powers of all three characters (yes, the party is limited to tree characters).
