Chulip speedrun (any% in 4h16m33s)
7This is a reupload of my Chulip any% RTA run from January 27th, 2013. The original video had some corruption issues and it caused desyncing of audio/video on YouTube. I corrected this issue by just re-recording the video through OBS while watching it in VLC. The small parts that were corrupted will probably either be frozen or look strange on the video, but everything is synced now. If it does act strangely, the timer always has the actual run time (which will skip around if the video does) so you will know exactly how much time was lost in the corruption.

I don't remember what I had for comments about the run on the old video, but what I do know is that I will probably never use this route again. The Expensive Rings is such a bad strat for RTA, the percentage of getting the ring is so low, I wasted about 2 hours just trying to get them. It is a GREAT segmented strat however as it is the fastest way to make money to buy the Computer. I don't know if there is a way to manipulate the RNG to always give Expensive Rings.
The only reason I know about the Expensive Rings at all is from a single post made by a guy on GameFAQs, and it isn't mentioned ANYWHERE else on the Internet. So there could be some other hidden item that might be just as good but easier to get in the game to sell for money.

Other than the Rings, I believe the run went pretty well. There were probably some mistakes but honestly I don't remember after almost 3 years of not having played it. I believe the very last employee in the Funny Bone factory was the one to tell me about the lazy guard, pretty bad luck. I do have a segmented run strat written up and maybe I'll eventually get to recording it, but right now no plans. There is a segment pretty early on that requires you to both kiss Sniper (chance at going underground) AND get a Ring (large chance of not appearing) in the SAME segment, and the toilet in Scarecrow Field isn't unlocked yet. Good luck with that one.
