CiB Let's Try - Masupilami (Sega Genesis)
Marsupilami was released for the Sega Genesis at some point in 1996, making this a pretty late Genesis release. It was developed by Apache Software (who only made 6 games, including 3 soccer games), and published by Sega themselves.
As I said in the video, it's extremely interesting to me that there was a 1996 video game based on a short-run 1993 TV series, based on a character created in 1952. It happened a lot during the 8 and 16-bit era, but it still blows me away how delayed some of these releases were, compared to when the corresponding TV show was out.
Unfortunately, this game is not great. It's one of those dreaded 'lead a character through a level' like the awful 'Eek the Cat' on Super Nintendo. Although this one is definitely better (and visually looks pretty solid), there is absolutely nothing to get excited about here. The time limits also seem pretty strict considering this game was clearly made for kids.
You can definitely skip this one, but regardless, thanks for watching!
