Circles (Soundodger Prototype) - All Levels 100%
16Big thanks to OneMrBean, developer of Soundodger/Soundodger+, for giving some of us fans this prototype from years ago! I will not be distributing this to anyone, so don't ask me, maybe ask Bean if you really want. He's being quite cautious about sharing copyrighted music, and you can't really blame him.
This is an old prototype of Bean's game, now called Soundodger/Soundodger+, previously named Circles or Circles And Spikes, likely referencing the inspiration from Squares. It features six levels, previously only three, that are not included in the final product. Some notable differences are that the bullets are shaped differently, there are no rotating effects, no bubbles, homing bullets have the same shape as linear bullets, there is a togglable god mode/zen mode and fast forward, bullets do not turn red when you are hit, there is no zooming in during effects such as slow motion, pause menu does not take up the full arena, the outer rings act differently, beams above shooting enemies always only flash even if it's a stream and have a defined shape that doesn't stretch to the end of the screen, the title of a song does not come up when you start a level, player hitbox is bigger, and probably more. Scoring seems a little broken for me, but these are all 100% runs of the levels. If you want to play these levels in Soundodger+, middlethought should be working on recreating these levels, possibly with extended versions of the tracks and releasing them as a level pack soon enough. He has already created an extended, only slightly off version of I Could Never Be A Dancer, thank to an old highlight Bean had saved of him completing the level a long while ago, so you can get that in the same pack as his Soundodger The Song level is featured in, made for an anniversary of the game.
