How many hours do you have in Cities: Skylines? Is it over 1000, like so many of us that dove into this classic from Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive? Cities: Skylines released in March of 2015 and this is the history of Cities: Skylines since.

Before Cities: Skylines released, we had the SimCity franchise from Maxis and Cities XL. Colossal Order had also been working on Cities In Motion. With city builder fans being left wanting after the failures of SimCity and Cities XL, Paradox Interactive greenlit Colossal Order to work on and release Cities: Skylines with all of its DLC and CCPs to follow.

Now in 2023, we have the opportunity to learn the history of Cities: Skylines.
