Cities Skylines: How To Deal With Tourists Ep 09 Gameplay Let's play Tutorial Guide Tips and Tricks
14In episode 09 of my cities Skylines let's play series we have to deal with tourists flooding our lovely city of #drakken. So i decided to make this guide for you adding all the tips and tricks i know on how to handle such a touristapocalypse. Traffic fixing is not really an option since our intersections and roundabouts are already optimized but more important we have a single straight highway leading int our city meaning since the game ai always tries to pick the fastest route we are having some difficulties to provide them with a faster alternative. First we are going to setup a tourism district in the hopes of having tourists already residing in the city's hotels would help to release stress from our highway. As second option we add a passenger train station to the city of #drakken making sure that this alternative way of entering and leaving the city would not cause additional traffic on our roads. Finally i added an additional highway system which leads to several different entry and exit points into our city and then used the traffic manager mod to make sure that the tourist cars would use those in the future keeping our highway for transporting goods and commuter traffic. i was not sure wether these options would not attract many additional tourists but in the end we got much less tourist traffic on our highway.

- self-sufficient industry
- self-sufficient City
- no despawn / hardmode 24/7
- realtime mod, even higher difficulty (cims get up want to go to work school - rushhour, cims have lunchbreak - rushhour, leave work / late shift - rushhour, No construction & education on weekends or through the night, real nightlife ...)
- Unique buildings were reset before the series, have to earn them all back legit
- no cheaty mods (automoney, RCI demand fix stuff, or other convinience mods, except for tasks i could also perform myself)
