We start the episode with a bang: the Boom Town milestone gives us access to public transportation and proper highways, and advanced wind turbines, among other things! Thus, we start by placing such a turbine and dialling down our energy budget. Then we allow recreational use of weed, since it doesn't really have any downsides and has a pretty decent bonus.

Next is industrial area updates. We make the nearby intersection more accessible for the main road users, turn some of the inner roads into cul-de-sacs, change the roads to industrial ones, and finally expand the zone itself. The demand is high and we need to act on it.

Then comes time for fire stations. A good few buildings burned down already, so they're definitely needed in our city. All of that expansion causes employment issues and an increase in residential demand, so we expand the residential zone as well, right up to the pseudo-highway.

We unlocked proper highways, though, so why not make this pseudo-highway into a proper highway? And a solar one to boot? We also redo the entrance to the city to not cause this much traffic issues, and... then we decide to create a proper highway exit instead. But not before we place a cemetery.

Solar parking lots are moved, roads are destroyed, and we proceed to create a standard-fare T-junction between the city's main road and the highway. The start is a bit rough, but what can you do when you don't have the feel for the new roads yet? Eventually, it is done however, and looks quite nice.

All that's left is some TM:PE setup, some Node Controller edits, and a bit of decorating with Intersection Marking Tool.

We got so occupied with this single intersection, that our city is drowning in trash! Time to extend our garbage processing capabilities, with a couple of recycling centres. They should provide enough additional garbage trucks.

Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience. You’re only limited by your imagination, so take control and reach for the sky!

*Multi-tiered and challenging simulation*
Constructing your city from the ground up is easy to learn, but hard to master. Playing as the mayor of your city you’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water electricity, police, fire fighting, healthcare and much more along with your city's real economy system. Citizens within your city react fluidly, with gravitas and with an air of authenticity to a multitude of game play scenarios.

*Extensive local traffic simulation*
Colossal Order's extensive experience developing the Cities in Motion series is fully utilized in a fully fleshed out and well-crafted local traffic simulation.

*Districts and Policies*
Be more than just an administrator from city hall. Designating parts of your city as a district results in the application of policies which results in you rising to the status of Mayor for your own city.

*Utilize the Day and Night Cycle*
The city changes during the hours of the day and affects citizen schedules. Traffic is visibly slower at night and some zoned areas do not work with full efficiency. Cities: Skylines will put you in control of managing the different aspects of the day and night cycles.

*Extensive modding support*
Build or improve on existing maps and structures. You can then import your creations into the game, share them as well as download the creations of other city builders on the Steam workshop.
