Citroën C4 Robot (Robot Only) in 4:14.916
At first I thought this was just a meme category with no tech, but it's actually more complicated than I thought. When just holding down the accelerator, the robot goes through a movement cycle: Accelerating up to 223, and then it switches to rolling, during which the speed decays into the 190s before it starts accelerating again. Therefore the trick is to interrupt that movement cycle to keep the speed as close to the max of 223 as possible. Ideally you wanna hop onto a rail briefly as soon as you see your speed goes back below 223, and then immediately jump off again to go back up to 223. If no grindable rail is available, just a straight jump does the trick, but a rail is preferrable, as that seems to conserve more momentum
