3If I had a dollar for every time I upload a big, full run tutorial video, just for it to immediately become outdated by having new strats revealed to me right after, I'd have 2$, which isn't a lot, but still weird it happened twice.
This new skip was found by MilsTailsPrower (as seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CL1fc7G6_6o&t=1s ), based on a glitch found by ThatOneAmerican (as seen in this video: https://youtu.be/McSWqltEeQ4?si=lWepbQgwj5RlGdZa ). It is the first major glitch skip this largely glitchless game has ever seen, so this is a massive moment in this game's history. The best part, it skips the hardest to optimize part in the longest level, it's very consistent, and it saves like 15 seconds with the way I executed it here. I'm not sure if this is the fastest way of destroying the Sea Fox, but this seemed to be the most reasonable method I was able to figure out.
To do the skip, place yourself on the solid block next to the breaking blocks, facing left. Pan the camera up, do a quick spindash, and after you release hold up again. If the blocks break while being halfway off screen due to the camera pan, you initiate the glitch. Now you need to get to the end. The best setup I found is to wait and do nothing, until you fall into the second floor with the spikes. Then, press A to initiate ball form and hold right. If you keep holding right now, you should end right in the final passage of the stage, getting hit by one of the spike balls that knock you out of the glitch. Usually then, you get knocked to the right side, where you quickly need to spindash left to fall down to the lowest level. You can avoid that last part by timing a left press about halfway through the final floor, but if you do it too early, you miss the final level of the stage entirely and you die, so it's riskier than just holding right.
