Civ 7 Patch Update: Continuous Mode + NEW Civs & Leaders Revealed!
949Welcome to Civilization 7's July Patch Update, and the launch of Civ 7's "Right to Rule" DLC. Civ's Jully 22nd update addresses Age Transition Abruptness in a bag way with a new "Continuity" setting that keeps unit positions consistent during the transition, upgrading them in place (friendly and neutral territory). Siege and Scout units will remain through the ages, and your relationship with other empires' leaders will be much more consistent thanks to a new diplomatic decay system. Catapults and merchants are available from age start during the Discovery Age, independents spawn BEOFRE you start playing again, and buildings now maintain their base yield (and maintenance costs) - though they still lose their adjacency (more work is needed here, I think.)
The patch also adds auto-explore, newly adjusted advisory warnings, the relationship decay changes, and a new commander for Trung - her sister, Trung Nhi.
Finally the RIGHT TO RULE paid DLC was revealed today, with new Wonders, Civs and Leaders for Civ 7!. It features two rollouts - a July 22nd, and a September tranche. July sees Ghengis Khan make his triumphant mongolian return, alongside new playable civs Assyria and Dai Viet. In September, leader Lakshmibai is joined by new civs Qajar and Silla.
