New Civ 7 Update SHAKES UP THE FORMULA!
1,162For many players, the upcoming Civ 7 June Patch Update (1.2.2) will shake up the game and change the formula with new options to toggle any (or all) legacy paths off, against customizable difficulty settings, and all civs unlocked for the next age. Civilization 7's June Patch also sees the introduction of large and HUGE maps, new and rebalanced town specializations, and more religious and city state benefits in a nice callback to Civilization 6 - resort towns and big maps are back, baby!
In today's news update Firaxis also share some insights beyond June, and towards what the future of Civ 7 holds. Auto-explore receives a very specific shoutout, while broader changes to age transitions, age timers, and other deeper concerns were mentioned.
I think this is likely to be another solid update for Civ 7, and one that will change the formula for many players looking for a closer-to-classic civ experience, though some limitations (changing civs) still apply.
