Impulse is the most ridiculously overpowered weapon against bosses. That said the weapon at level 1 and 2 will somewhat struggle on normal waves, so I opted to use Shock level 2 as a safe-measure, but I ended up forgetting to switch back to Impulse during a mini-boss. Once you get level 3 though, things get out of hands very quickly.
All in all, I'm happy with sub-3 hour.
