Both the Normandy and Aquitaine are the most dangerous in this route, since they are the only ones likely to build a lot of castles. Burgundy only ever build one or two, whereas the other two don't build any at all.
To the east there are a ton of stone/gold that you could use to muster your forces/spam castles without any trade.
The King of the Franks honestly is more of a hindrance. You don't need to kill them but if you don't secure the map with castles, that will allow them to rebuild and train units to massacre your map control.
The alliance can vary a lot, but in general you want to kill Normandy and Aquitaine first, then others.
