The Retron 5 is a hotbed of controversy because it plays games digitally instead of using analog outputs like a real Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis or anything else made in the 20th century. The games are incredibly sharp and crystal clear with that "emulated" look, although the Retro 5 gives many filter and scan line options. It works with Super Nintendo, NES and Sega Genesis controllers which is great because the wireless controller that comes with the Retron 5 is garbage.
