What would the original pixelated Sega Genesis version of Sonic The Hedgehog 1's zones all look like if they were recreated in 3d with all of the shapes and colors of the original game? You're about to find out. To add some flare to the new depth, each zone has a rewritten version of the original level theme.
*creator notes* I created this method of portraying all of the 2D sprites as a three dimensional object by dividing all of the flat sprites/images up into blocky "3d pixels" then I extruded the pixels that needed to stand out more than others to achieve this 3d effect. It was a fantastic project - and rewriting all of the music was a thrill too, because I am so fond of sonic music and felt like after 20+ years of playing the game over and over i'd added a little piece of it to my heart.
